Covid: Before and After
Covid has been a powerful experience for most of us, leaving traces of different emotions that we may not be fully aware of. We have collectively lived through moments of fear, anger, suppression, relaxation, and challenges that have either made us stronger or not. It happened suddenly and globally, something no current generation had experienced before.
Before Covid, we had lives that were abruptly disrupted, leaving us feeling out of control without any idea of how it would all end. Today, many of us have returned to regular life, whether it resembles our old lives or a new version. But the question remains: have we realized how traumatic that experience was? Have we dealt with the traumas it caused, released and processed the emotions, and healed from what it created within us?
Some of us may still be struggling, while others may feel they have moved on. I would love to share with you an exercise that can help heal the scars left by the Covid years and guide you towards beginning a new life.
I invite you to follow these steps:
Take a piece of paper and write down how your life used to be before Covid. Spend five minutes on this.
Next, write about all the changes you had to make during Covid and how those changes made you feel.
Close your eyes and recall these moments one by one, allowing yourself to feel the emotions you experienced at those times fully.
Finally, write down how you would like your life to be from now on and commit to making it happen.
This exercise can help you process and heal from the past, paving the way for a brighter future.
