Embodying Essence

A Therapeutic Journey through Dance

What is about?

Dance is a beautiful form of expression, as well as a means of self-healing. To cultivate skills in dancing, develop good technique, and maintain fitness, one must practice and train regularly.

However, along this journey, there exists a delicate balance between discipline and self-demand, as well as perfectionism.

Discipline is essential for building a strong body and mastering technique to serve as a vessel for our spirit's expression through dance.

Yet, excessive self-demand and perfectionism can transform dancing into another avenue for unconsciously reinforcing unhealthy patterns of competition and self-punishment.

What you will learn and the types of dance we delve into

In this workshop, you will learn how to address your tendency to punish or criticize yourself in the pursuit of perfectionism.

Additionally, you will develop a more therapeutic relationship with dance. You will come to view dance as a means of expressing your deepest essence with fluidity and inspiration, thereby avoiding the traps of the Ego Mind, which may tell you that you are not good enough or that you are already perfect and must maintain that status quo.

We will explore these concepts through three different dance styles: Conscious Flamenco, Conscious Tango, and Inspirited Dancing.

  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with dance

  • Express your deepest essence through dance without perfectionism and self-criticism

  • Avoid falling into traps set by the Ego Mind during dance practice

  • Explore three diverse dance styles: Conscious Flamenco, Conscious Tango, and Inspirited Dancing

  • Reconnect with the Earth and heal the first chakra through Conscious Flamenco

  • Boost vitality, sensuality, and zest for life through Conscious Flamenco

  • Delve into and reconcile inner polarities (feminine and masculine) through Conscious Tango

Meet your Instructor:

My name is Agapi Apostolopoulou and I love leading people on a journey of discovering their Authentic Self.

I am the founder of Alithi Gi Academy and I offer a variety of sessions and workshops in different parts of the world, combining the Secrets of Shamanism, Archetypes, Art, Tantra, Dance, and Spirituality.

At an early age, I found myself drawn to learn Latin and Ballroom dance, eventually completing my studies and becoming a teacher. Later on, I graduated as a Ballet and Contemporary dance Teacher in Greece, while simultaneously expanding my knowledge in Flamenco and Argentine Tango.

I've worked extensively as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer for professional, amateur, and recreational groups.

However, in 2004, I made the decision to specialize in Flamenco dance and feeling, which led me to Spain to deepen my practice. I spent a significant portion of my career in Seville, Spain, where I embarked on a different journey—a journey of self-knowledge and introspection.

During this time, I learned and utilized various therapies that supported my personal growth.

Now, I travel the world, supporting individuals in their personal growth journeys!
